Elemental Immersion: A Resort Review of Elements, Byron Bay

By Jessica Humphries

Elements of Byron is the place to be if you like your nature in a little luxury. It has everything you look for in an indulgent elemental immersion - expansive views of the Bay’s best beaches, cosy cabins tucked away in peaceful patches of nature, a fire pit by an enormous, glamorous pool, an additional adults-only pool bar, day spa, chic restaurant, private beach access, daily yoga classes and oh so much more.

Tucked away behind Byron’s funky industrial estate, a short drive from the hustle and bustle of busy Byron, Elements is located just beyond the sand of one of Byron’s most peaceful beaches.

The villas are modern luxury meets cosy beach hut, true to their motto ‘barefoot luxury’. The natural environment envelops you with windows inviting in light and verdant views, nature-inspired artworks adorning the walls, and simplistic, organic design that invites the outdoors in.

You can choose a room to suit your (abundant) budget, from beautifully simple studios starting at $445 per night to deluxe two-bedroom villas with a kitchen, fireplace and a luxurious bath from $895.

There are food options aplenty - the Botanica Beach Club offers guests their very own, quirky beach bar on the sand, the main pool and adults only pool serves up tasty treats while you soak up some sun, and you can even opt to have food delivered from the restaurant right to your villa door. The resort’s main restaurant, Azure Bar & Grill is next level, serving delectable, local fare in the smoothest of surrounds. Think freshly shucked oysters, mouth-watering grilled goodies, pizzas, risotto and even an abundance of vegan treasures to choose from. It’s open to the public so even non-guests can make magical meal memories at one of the Bay’s best.

For a truly indulgent elemental immersion, the on-site spa continues the nature theme, offering facials, massages and rituals that are all inspired by Byron’s beauty, aiming to invite a deeper connection to nature in seriously scrumptious surrounds.

In the morning you can float your way to a sunrise yoga class overlooking the town’s famous beaches, just a stone’s throw away. It’s possible, though, that you may be happiest whiling away the hours within the sweet serenity of the resort.
