Byron Bay is set to ignite the first day of 2026 with Rhythms of Resolution - a vibrant New Year’s Day celebration merging global soundscapes, dancefloor unity and community purpose. Presented by Sensory Blender, this much-anticipated one-day event transforms the lush outdoor grounds of the North Byron Hotel into a sun-drenched sanctuary of rhythm, movement and renewal.
From 2pm, the garden stages come alive with one of the region’s most exciting and diverse line ups. Headliner Phil Perry, pioneer of the UK house movement and founder of London’s iconic Full Circle — leads a stellar cast of Northern Rivers favourites: Iain Ha Yes, XUJA, Monsieur Diop, Lord Sut, Afrodisea, Mr Nice and Taz Miller. Together, they weave a dynamic journey through house, Balearic, Afro, Latin and global electronic sound.
Amplifying the energy is the powerful live percussion of Gabriel Otu (Happy Africa) whose rhythmic presence infuses the event with deep tribal resonance - setting a vibrant and intentional tone for the year ahead.
As daylight fades, the celebration flows seamlessly into a FREE exclusively for event guests After Party at Paradiso. This intimate late-night session extends the experience with underground selectors, eclectic grooves and plenty of dancefloor magic to carry the momentum into the night.
More than a party, Rhythms of Resolution continues a strong local tradition of giving back. A share of event profits will be donated to Fletcher Street Cottage, supporting people in Byron Bay experiencing homelessness and helping strengthen community care where it’s needed most.
