Circularity - Stone & wood

Make it, mend it and keep it going at Circularity

Breathe new life into old favourites with hands-on workshops, local makers, live music, food and cold beers at Stone & Wood’s free afternoon of creative reuse.

Stone & Wood is opening the doors of its Byron Bay brewery for Circularity, a free afternoon dedicated to upcycling, repairing and finding creative ways to keep good things in use for longer.

Held on Friday 13 November from 4pm to 7pm, the event will transform the brewery into a lively hub of hands-on workshops, live music, food and beers.

Local brands and makers will share practical skills designed to help people reduce waste and extend the life of the things they already own.

“Circularity is about more than recycling. It’s about rethinking what we buy and getting as much life as we can out of the things we already own,” Stone & Wood’s Kurtis Day said.

“Bringing people together to mend, make and swap ideas is how small changes add up to something much bigger.”

Hands-on workshops

Hat Upcycling with Fallen Broken Street
Transform an old Stone & Wood deadstock hat with a slight imperfection into something uniquely yours.

Scraps to Scrunchies with Dusty the Label x Slow Lab
Turn fabric scraps into scrunchies and discover a creative way to give offcuts a second life.

Sunshine Printing with Atmosea
Use cyanotype printing and the power of sunshine to transform old T-shirts and pants into one-of-a-kind pieces.

McTavish Ding Repair
Join the McTavish crew for a practical conversation about surfboard repair and getting as much life and joy as possible from your board.

With live tunes in the courtyard and Stone & Wood beers on tap, Circularity offers an easy-going way to pick up a new skill, meet local makers and rethink what might otherwise be thrown away.
