Byron Bay Bluesfest Lands Among Global Music Giants
Crowded House - Byron Bay Bluesfest 2025
Byron Bay Bluesfest has once again cemented its place among the best festivals in the world, ranking #13 on Pollstar’s Global Live Box-Office chart. This puts it ahead of major tours from global superstars such as Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Metallica and The Eagles, showcasing the festival's extraordinary international appeal.
Bluesfest’s impressive ranking makes it the highest-ranking Australian festival on the list and one of only three Aussie events to chart. With 218 shows reported globally, this is a monumental achievement for an independently run regional festival, reflecting the power of live music in Australia.
Bluesfest Festival Director Peter Noble OAM, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. To be included in this list, alongside the biggest names in the industry, is a testament to the love people have for this festival. This recognition speaks to the power of live music in Australia.”
Bluesfest 2025, held over the Easter long weekend on the festival’s purpose-built site just outside Byron Bay, drew in over 112,000 attendees across four massive days. This year’s stellar lineup included:
Crowded House, Toto, Tom Morello, Chaka Khan, Hilltop Hoods, Vance Joy, Tones and I, Gary Clark Jr, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Missy Higgins, John Butler, The Cat Empire, Ocean Alley, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Xavier Rudd, and many more.
