The world’s leading para-surfers return to Byron Bay
Courage, skill and world-class surfing will take centre stage when the Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships return to Byron Bay in 2027.
The Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships will welcome leading para-surfers from Australia and around the world to Byron Bay from 28 February to 6 March 2027.
The championship celebrates athletic excellence, inclusion and the strength of the international adaptive surfing community, providing competitors with an opportunity to test their skills in some of Australia’s most renowned waves.
Spectators can watch remarkable athletes compete across adaptive surfing classifications while experiencing the supportive atmosphere that has helped make the Byron Bay event an important fixture on the global para-surfing calendar.
The event will also incorporate the Surfing Australia Para Surfing Titles, with athlete registrations now open.
