Rare Astrological Turning Point Marked with Community Gathering at Byron Theatre

Byron Bay, NSW – 6:30pm Friday 20 February 2026

A rare astrological alignment not seen in over 6,000 years will be marked with a solutions focused community gathering at Byron Theatre on Friday 20 February, coinciding with the launch of local author Fiona Love’s novel Clandestine Wings

The event centres on the Saturn–Neptune conjunction at zero degrees Aries, an alignment astrologers associate with major societal transitions, signalling the dissolution of outdated systems and the emergence of new collective possibilities.

The evening has been designed as a grounded, inclusive gathering exploring what this moment may mean for humanity, and how communities can respond with clarity, compassion, and practical action.

Local Elder Aunty Lois will offer a Welcome to Country and share the Dreamtime story of the Seven Sisters, grounding the evening in ancient knowledge and connection to land. The program will be hosted by spirit medium Eliza Kendell and will feature live music, sound healing, and a solutions panel highlighting real world initiatives already underway.

Speakers include medicine woman and musician Samart Sky, who will speak on humanity’s relationship with nature, Mukunda (Muki), sharing perspectives on self governance and community led structures, and Paul Wright, presenting ethical technology solutions that protect Indigenous languages, safeguard personal data, and fund ecological regeneration projects.

The evening will also include live music and sound journeys, with performances by local musician Shunya, singer songwriter Melanie Spears leading a choir, a didgeridoo performance, a gong journey with Eeka King, and harp and crystal bowls sound healing offered by Annie and Zarn.

Clandestine Wings, Love’s debut novel, is a work of historical fiction that explores humanity’s relationship with power, control, and consciousness through themes including money, medicine, and technological influence. The book also explores humanity’s natural evolutionary potential, framing the present era as a critical choice point where grassroots initiatives and peaceful, ethical responses to harmful systems play an important role in shaping the future.

The evening will include a short reading from the book, offering context for the themes explored throughout the event.

“This evening is an invitation to recognise a moment of change and respond together, consciously and constructively,” Love says.

Early bird tickets are priced at $33, with limited seating available.
