More Feeling and Less Frenzy: Sunset Assembly
Sunset Assembly - A Slow Groove Gathering of Dusk Drifters
Release Date 5 February 2026
An Antidote To Chaos - Sunset Assembly Slows It All Down
Friday Feb 20 | The Citadel, Murwillumbah | 4pm – 10:30pm
Sunset Assembly invites you to a slow, soulful gathering for groovers who prefer depth over drops and connection over chaos. As the sun dips, warm rhythms roll in: unhurried, sensual, and spacious enough to breathe inside.
Set in an acoustically beautiful art deco venue with a large wooden dance floor, the experience is intimate, cosy, and deliberately limited.
Expect music that shimmers rather than shouts covering dub, downtempo, Balearic, soul, ambient, organic house and global grooves - curated to move bodies gently and bring people closer, without demand.
Guiding the journey are four deeply respected selectors, all female guest DJs for this edition: Afrodisea, Taz Miller, Lisa, join Lord Sut, each playing outside the box and beyond borders.
Add a full bar, outdoor space, and Japanese food by OKI (Gold Coast), and you have a dusk-to-night ritual designed to linger.
More than a night out, Sunset Assembly gives back - with a share of profits supporting the Murwillumbah Community Centre, extending the night’s good energy into the local community.
Settle in. Breathe out.
Move slowly.
This is Sunset Assembly.
