The Still Point

The Still Point

An analogue photography exhibition by Bijou Lily and Kojiro Oishi

The Still Point opens this July at Lone Goat Gallery, bringing together a striking new body of work by local artists Bijou Lily and Kojiro Oishi.

Running from 18 July to 15 August, the exhibition explores landscape through the tactile lens of analogue photography, using 8mm, 35mm and 120mm film to capture moments of stillness, presence and impermanence. One artist works in black and white, the other in colour, creating a dialogue between contrasting visual languages and shared contemplations of place.

In an age saturated by digital imagery, The Still Point offers a slower, more intentional way of seeing, inviting viewers to pause and reconnect with the subtle beauty and depth of the natural world.

The opening night will also feature a vinyl 70s set by DJ KODA, adding a nostalgic soundtrack to an immersive evening of art and conversation.

When: 18 July – 15 August 2026
Where: Lone Goat Gallery
Opening event: Friday 17 July
Featuring: Vinyl 70s mix by DJ KODA
