Velvet Bloom's self-titled debut album is out now
+ feature track 'Nobody Else'
+upcoming tour days for May, June and July!

The wait for Velvet Bloom's debut LP is finally over, as they unveil their 11 track work, with feature track 'Nobody Else', ahead of their 23 date national tour. '‘Nobody Else’ is about love and trust in a relationship. It’s about knowing a person intimately and being able to let go and rely on them - something I find very hard to do. There are some easter eggs in this song that reference past releases, which I really enjoyed writing.' - Velvet Bloom

Velvet Bloom's music transcends genres, a sonic voyage through the cosmos with Maddy Herbert’s soulful prowess and lyricism serving as a beacon of authenticity, with each band member and musician adding their own flair to the group's project and kaleidoscopic soundscape. Working closely with Alex Marko on production to set the scene for each story, there is something on the record for old fans and new, from the collective band favourite and single ‘My Love’, to moments for the old fans with the easter eggs in ‘Nobody Else’ and folky reflection in ‘Realign’, and an instrumental reflective ‘Prelude’. Finding strength in raw and unfiltered tracks like ‘Best In You’ and ‘How Could I Ever’, the material doesn’t shy away from dark and painful moments like ‘She’s Gone’, and revels in the power found within music in single ‘Silver Tongue’, latest single ‘Time’, and ‘Only You’. The album's closing track features a celebration of their friends and family who were invited to come and sing on the track. "The support of our friends and family is why we feel able to continue writing, releasing and performing in the way that we do. We love our people so much and wanted to include them in this creation, ‘I’ll Love You Tomorrow’ was the perfect way to do that." Maddy Herbert, Velvet Bloom

Velvet Bloom’s debut EP Glimmer served as a catalyst for their rise, released through independent label Cousin Will Records (The Grogans), and saw them tour nationally across Australia, and taking the stage at esteemed venues including Lazy Bones, The Night Cat, The NGV, Loch Hart Music Festival, MONA, St Kilda Festival, Mordi Fest and many more. Their music continues making waves, with tracks added to Spotify Editorial playlists including The Local List, Soulful Day, and Fresh Finds, and appearing on ABC’s Spicks and Specks, their unique blend of soul, pop, jazz, and indie-rock capturing hearts across community radio Triple R, PBS FM, 4ZZZ, Edge Radio, 2SER, RTR FM, alongside Triple J, ABC, and more.
