New Live Family Concert Brings Magic to the Drill Hall These School Holidays

Northern Rivers families are invited to step into a world of music, imagination and wonder this July, as Once Upon a Song arrives at the Drill Hall Theatre in Mullumbimby.

Created for children aged 3–10 and their grown-ups, the 60-minute live concert features songs from beloved films, musicals and and heroines including Frozen, Moana, Tangled, Wicked, K-pop Demon Hunters and more, woven together with storytelling and audience participation.

The concert is created and performed by Northern Rivers soprano vocalist Madeleine Eliza, who recently starred as Hero in the sold-out season of A Midsummer Night's Queen. Passionate about creating beautiful live experiences for families, Eliza hopes the concert will leave children feeling inspired long after the final song.

"The heroines in these stories are brave, curious, adventurous and kind," says Eliza. "I hope every child leaves feeling a little braver, a little more inspired, and reminded that they already have their own light to shine."

The performance concludes with a special photo opportunity, giving children and families the chance to capture a magical memory together after the show.
